Join the park staff for a relaxing and informative 45 minute tour of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir. This program focuses on the birds, plants and wildlife of lake and wetland habitats. The pontoon boat has 18 available seats. Tours are offered free of charge, but donations are gratefully accepted. Advance reservations are recommended and may be made online or by calling the park office at 814-647-8401. Rides begin at 12:00, 1:30 and 3:00 pm. Meet at the Boat Launch Area 15 minutes prior to program time.

The bulls are beginning to bugle in the First Fork Valley! Try to spot the elk with binoculars or spotting scope as they go about the business of defending territory and finding mates. Park staff and/or volunteers will be on-hand to share information about the elk in the park.

Elk Watch station will be set up where elk are active. Call the park office between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. or look for signs marking the day’s location. Wildlife watching is unpredictable. The park makes no guarantee that elk will be present at the viewing area at the time of the watch. A sample of elk antlers and elk hides, along with pictures and other elk information will be provided.

The Potter County Artisan Center will host a special “Learn, Grow, Create!” event on Saturday, September 20 from 4 – 8 PM.  Artisans will be demonstrating their crafts, and children will be able to make custom book covers with local artisan, Elaine Russell.  Materials will be provided.  Live music will add to the festivities and guests are welcome to bring their own instruments and join in the jam.  Refreshments will be provided.
