Registration: Registration is open to all people. Cost of registration is $55.00 until March 31, 2016. From April 1 - April 30, 2016, the cost of registration is $65.00. May 1, 2016 - June 3, 2016, registration is $75.00. All participants are required to sign the above waiver. Participants under the age of 18 will need your parent's or guardian's signature on the waiver. We encourage you to register early. If you are unable to register ahead of time, you may register at the Pre-Race Pasta Dinner (see below). THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Registration is non-refundable.
Lodging: Both Coudersport and Galeton offer a variety of lodging options. Please go to www.visitpottercounty.com/places-to-stay for more information.
Packet Pickup Locations: There are two opportunities to receive your race packet. The first opportunity is Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Pre-Race Pasta Dinner (see below). The second is at the starting line at Denton Hill State Park/Ski Denton the morning of the race beginning at 6:30 A.M. We encourage as many people as possible to pick up their packets at the Pre-Race Pasta Dinner.
Pre-Race Pasta Dinner: The God's Country Marathon Pre-Race Pasta Dinner is Friday, June 3, 2016. The dinner is from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Gather at the American Legion Post 192 (2 Buffalo Street/Route 872, Coudersport, PA 16915) with fellow runners and enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat pasta dinner with all the fixings, salad, bread, desserts and a beverage. Pre-Race Pasta Dinner is NOT included with registration. Cost of the dinner is $8.00/adult; $4/child ages 3 - 12; children under 3 are free. Please send payment for the Pre-Race Pasta Dinner with your registration.
Race Day Parking: Ample free parking is located around the Courthouse Square at the Finish Line and at the Start Line of the half marathon. Some parking spots around the Courthouse Square have meters, but you do not need to feed the meters on race day. Please DO NOT park on Main Street in Coudersport on race day.
Transportation: The morning of the race, a shuttle bus leaves from the finish line located at the Coudersport Courthouse at 6:45 A.M. and transports you to the starting line at Denton Hill State Park/Ski Denton, arriving at approximately 7:15 A.M. There is an additional charge of $5.00 per person. Please pay fee in advance with your registration if you plan on taking the shuttle.
Personal Belongings - Storage and Retrieval: Participants can leave their belongings with us in a car located at the starting line. You can pick up your belongings at the finish line under the tent in the Runner Recovery Area. Your belongings will be identified by race number.
The God's Country Half Marathon course takes runners on a scenic, yet challenging journey, on Route 6 through the majestic Susquehannock State Forest, ending at the historic Coudersport Courthouse Square. The race begins at 8:00 A.M. at Denton Hill State Park/Ski Denton. This is a point to point, open road course. Each mile is marked with an official Mile Marker. A map of the course is located on the following page, along with an elevation chart. Please note that the half marathon begins at Mile 15 and includes a 1.9 mile dog leg before "Conquering the Hill.". The course will be marked with orange arrows painted on the pavement. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the course prior to the race. Click here for course map and elevation chart.
Fluid Replacement: Fluid replacement stations approximately every 1 mile and at the finish line.
Note: Water station locations are coordinated based on the mile markers; some stations may not be located exactly at a mile marker due to available roadside space that allows our volunteers to stay safe.
"GU" Energy Gel - There will be "GU" stations at the start line, the 15, 20 and 25 mile marks and at some other water stations along the way.
Port-a-potties - Port-a-potties will be at the starting line, 20.5 mile mark and at the finish line.
Medical Aid: Charles Cole Memorial Hospital provides medical aid for runners in need. Galeton and Coudersport Ambulance Companies will monitor the course.
Time Limits: There are no time limits for our course. If you are willing to try it, we'll be there for you at the Finish Line.
Awards: Cash prizes awarded to top 3 male and female finishers. The top 3 placers in each age division will also receive prizes. Awards Ceremony will be held at 1:30 PM at the Finish Line. Please note that all age division awards must be picked up before you leave - they cannot be mailed. Medals: All finishers receive a custom diecast finisher's medal. The top 3 overall male and female finishers receive place medals.
Food and Beverages: Food and beverages will be available in the Runner Recovery Area at the Finish Line.
Post-Race Showers: Runners will have the opportunity to shower after the race. Details TBD.
Results: Official results will be available on the marathon website www.godscountrymarathon.com as soon as possible after the race.
Photos: Photos from the race will be posted on our website at www.godscountrymarathon.com approximately 2 weeks after the race.
Post-Race Party: The Hotel Crittenden, just across the street from the Finish Line, will again be hosting our post-race party, with live music and specials for runners, spectators and volunteers, beginning at 7 PM on Saturday evening. Wear your bib or medal and there's no cover charge. Plan on sticking around Saturday night and joining us for great food, music and camaraderie.

T-Shirts: All runners who register before April 30 are guaranteed a gender specific technical t-shirt. We will do our best to accommodate runners who register after April 30. T-shirts will be included in your race packet.
