Black Forest Broadcasting, an internet radio station and regional news source, provides news, information and entertainment for and about the northern tier of Pennsylvania 24/7 three ways:

1. as an audio stream on your computer or mobile device;
2. visually on our website; and,
3. as Music Choice Channel 450 on Zito Media throughout central Pennsylvania.

The music on Black Forest Broadcasting is a blend of today’s country, pop oldies, classic country, bluegrass, and folk and we carry several nature programs throughout the broadcast day.

While our programming appeals to everyone, our news and information focuses on the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, specifically: Potter, McKean, Elk, Cameron and Tioga Counties. Our calendar of events is the most comprehensive list of activities you will find in one place and will help you plan your next visit. Our updated, customized weather forecasts are provided by student meteorologists at Penn State through the Campus Weather Service and are written specifically for this area of Pennsylvania. Penn State’s school of Meteorology is recognized as the best in the world and produces National Weather Service meteorologists, severe weather specialists, radio and TV forecasters.

The Black Forest of Pennsylvania was so named because of the dense, dark black, virgin evergreen forests that originally covered northern tier counties. We have chosen to use the name because it signifies our service area’s rich history and outdoors lifestyle.

Please note high-speed internet, DSL or Cable, is required for best results.
